In the modern capitalist world, there is always a conflict of ideas, a regrouping of older trends with newer thoughts; all this having major role in the world of technology and gadgets. Although gadgets have the same function and can be used by both the genders, of late, in the rise of feminism, or consciousness of the likes and dislikes of both the genders, manufacturers have been able to try and find products more feasible and likable by either of the genders within their own groups.
Hence, we have a range of products classified as boys gadgets, or girls gadgets. This is in view of the fact that either of them would have different perspective at that way colours work, mechanics or artistry, the emotional perspective, etc. these may look as unnecessary to the untrained eye. However, when you realise that women tend to go for the more colourful stuff, or men like the gore and the action, then there is an idea of why and how each of the genders tend to prefer one similar kind of gadgets. For example, mobiles with gaming as a major function tend ot be found more among men, while the ones that look sleek, and colourful are the choice of the fairer sex.
Hence, although the tougher and more rewarding way is to create gadget and technology to appeal to both men and women, makers of these things do try to fit in and publicise a particular family or kind of product for the one particular gender to get a more loyal fan base.
